Privacy policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Journey the Breath collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We've written it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at [email protected].
Who we are
Journey the Breath is a trading name of Pat Divilly Fitness Ltd, a company registered in Ireland (company number 497900), Brookline Lodge, Freeport, Barna, Co. Galway, Ireland. We are the "controller" of your personal information, which means we decide how it's used and we're responsible for looking after it.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us on a form, when booking a call or when you sign up: your name, email address and phone number.
- Your answers on our forms, such as your experience with breathwork and why you're interested in the training.
- Health information you choose to share on our forms (see "Your health information" below).
- Booking details: the calls you book, and notes from them.
- Payment details: what you bought, how much and when. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Your messages to us by email, text or direct message, and our replies.
- Your participation in the training: attendance, assignments, feedback and progress towards certification. Live masterclasses are recorded, so if you join with your camera or microphone on, you may appear in the recording.
- How you use our website, but only if you say yes in our cookie banner. See our cookie policy.
- Which link or ad brought you to us, from the web address you arrived on, so we know which of our posts and ads are working.
Your health information
Breathwork isn't right for everyone in every circumstance, so our forms ask about your health. This is a special category of information under data protection law, and we only collect it with your explicit consent, given when you fill in the form.
We use it only to keep you safe in the practice and to adapt how you take part. Only Pat and the facilitators directly responsible for your training can see it. We never use it for marketing and never share it with advertisers. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us; if you do, we may not be able to let you take part in some practices safely, and we'll talk that through with you.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
| What we do | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry and hold discovery calls | Taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us |
| Deliver the training, certification and community you've signed up for | Our contract with you |
| Use your health information to keep you safe | Your explicit consent |
| Take payments and keep accounts | Our contract with you, and our legal obligations under Irish tax law |
| Send you news, offers and invitations by email or text | Your consent, or, if you're already a student, our legitimate interest in telling you about similar training. You can unsubscribe in any message |
| Record live masterclasses so students can watch the replay | Our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in giving every student access to the teaching |
| Measure our website and our ads with cookies | Your consent, given in the cookie banner |
| Keep our forms free of spam and our site secure | Our legitimate interest in protecting our website and the people who use it |
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the business, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions:
- HighLevel (GoHighLevel): our website, forms, bookings, contact records, emails, texts and some course materials.
- Stripe: card payments.
- Kajabi: course materials.
- Skool: the student community.
- Zoom: live sessions and their recordings.
- Vimeo: the videos on our website.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Microsoft Clarity: only if you accept those cookies.
- Cloudflare and Google: spam checks on our forms.
- Our accountant and professional advisers, where they need it to do their job.
We may also share information where the law requires it.
Outside the European Economic Area
Some of these companies are based in, or store information in, the United States and other countries outside the EEA. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and discovery calls that don't lead to a place on the training: two years from our last contact.
- Student records (training, attendance, certification): for as long as you're a student or certified facilitator, and six years after that, so we can confirm your certification if asked.
- Payment and accounting records: six years, as Irish tax law requires.
- Health information: until twelve months after your training ends, then deleted.
- Recordings of live sessions: for as long as the course they belong to is running and its students have access.
- Marketing: until you unsubscribe. We keep a note that you unsubscribed so we don't contact you again.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it's wrong;
- have it deleted, where we have no reason to keep it;
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a format you can take elsewhere;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for health information, marketing or cookies, without affecting anything we did before.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll reply within one month. It's free.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, Ireland, www.dataprotection.ie.
Age
Our training is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
